"King of the sequels"

--: Can I ask you one more sharp question?

K:
OKeey *laugh*
--: Some people said the original Resident Evil is scary but Resident Evil 2 is not. For example, like the movie Alien 1 and 2. 2 is entertainment but not scary. What do you think about that?

K:
Well, in the original Resident Evil, even just zombie is walking is scary. But that doesn't work anymore. So, I thought it is OK to show different color, just like Alien. Alien 2 has more entertaining color, Resident Evil 2 too and I thought I just go to the king of the sequel. I understand people said like that. Original Resident Evil is dark fear game and Resident Evil 2 is more like positive fear game and maybe the difficulty of the game made people think so, but concept was changed a little. In original Resident Evil, we set difficulty level of the game high, but some of the users said "too hard" or "Can't beat the game". We need to re-considered the difficulty of the game to be appealing for new users.
--: But I think one of the charms of Resident Evil is the atmosphere of for only die-hard game fans.

K:
I know. So, it gave me a headache to create the game for both, new users and old users. If you talk about Resident Evil 2 as a merchandise it is good game, but to be honest, if you talk about creativity, Resident Evil 2 is not a grate piece. In the original Resident Evil, our goal was only 300,000 sales of the game, so we could done whatever we wanted. But now, Resident Evil series became a lot more popular, so it is not only our Resident Evil anymore.
--: You feel like you are left out?

K:
Yes..... a little bit *laugh* But whatever game the people think, we put all our strength in to it, that was for sure.

--: Are you already starting to make Resident Evil3?

K:
Yes, now I'm thinking about how the story goes.
--: Resident Evil 2 is finished "Now it's out time to take Umbrella!!" or "I have to find you Chris" kind of courageous end, so it makes me think about how the story goes in Resident Evil 3

K:
We have a lot of ideas, I let Leon say "Out turn to take Umbrella" but I didn't think anything after that at all. *laugh* I didn't think I'm gonna do Resident Evil 3.
--: Oh, is that so?
K: It was just part of the trick to create a good ending to the game, but people said "What is going to be next?" and I had to make one more Resident Evil game. *laugh*
